This workday will be clearing brush under the oaks along the road allowing folks traveling down Thompson to view this incredible site. \nWork will continue along the fence line but the parking area will be across the street on Woodland Lane. \nDirections: From the intersection of Charles Rd. and Greenwood Rd. in Woodstock\, head South on Greenwood Rd. (rt. 120) for 0.9 miles. Turn left onto Thompson Rd. and continue for 0.7 miles. Turn left onto Woodland Lane and Park along the road.

We’ll focus on the invasive shrubs and trees that are obstructing the boundaries to allow more light to reach the plants in understory and provide an unobstructed view into the woods. \nDirections: From the intersection of 14 and 47\, head north on 47\, Turn left on Lake Ave\, and then left on Dick Tracy Ave. Park near the playground and we’ll walk over to the work area together.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a work session out at the Apple Creek Food Forest! There is a lot planned for this growing season– including planting\, seeding\, garden bed prep\, mulching\, watering\, special projects\, and more!\n \n\nReminders: \nWear sturdy shoes or boots as the ground is a bit uneven in spots.\nWe have some garden gloves\, but bring yours along if you have some.\nUntil trees start growing or the pavilion goes up\, there is no shade; sunglasses\, a hat\, and sunscreen are all a good idea.\nThere are no bathrooms out at the food forest at this time!  There is running water if you want to top up your water bottle though.\nThe address is 3210 Dean Street\, Woodstock\, IL. I park on the east side of the street on the grass.  Otherwise there is parking available if you walk over from the subdivision streets.
