Crowley Oaks Restoration Workday

Join us for the Wednesday workday tradition on this 80 acre site that steward Larry Fetzer has faithfully hosted for so many years! We’ll be continuing to clear under the pines southwest of the central wetland to allow more light to reach the understory and encourage native plants and new oaks to grow. We’ll meet near the parking lot entrance and walk back together.

Along with the regular workday, a special seed collecting event will take place. Native seeds around the wetland will be collected to be spread around in areas that are lacking. Come to clear brush, collect seeds, or split the time between the two!

Directions: From the intersection of 173 and 14 in Harvard, head east on 173 and continue for 3.2 miles. Turn left (west) on Crowley Road, and continue for 0.2 miles. The site will be to the north, park in the lot.
