Irish Oaks Restoration Workday
April 18 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us for a workday at this exquisite Illinois Nature Preserve! This 40 acre parcel was identified in the Illinois Natural Areas Inventory as the best remaining example of a dry mesic oak savanna in the state! Non-native brush has invaded the site and we, and the Blandings Turtles, need your help to get rid of it!
Directions: From Rt. 14 in Harvard, take Brink St east for 1.7 miles. Turn right (south) onto Schultz Rd and continue for 0.3 miles. Turn left (east) onto Lincoln Rd, and continue for 0.5 miles. The entrance to the site will be on the right (south) and is a gravel lane between a wooded fence row and a farm field. We’ll park at the kiosk and walk in along the farm field.
