Final Friday Workday at the Blue Farm

May 29 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
A group of volunteers standing in front of trees after an environmental workday.

Blue Farm is a 77.4 acre Conservation Easement that contains wetland areas, including sedge meadow/wet prairie, and remnant oak/hickory woodlands. The intermittent stream that runs through the property, as well as many seeps and springs, are all part of the headwaters of the Nippersink Creek. The property also contains a McHenry County Natural Areas Inventory (MCNAI) site which are the most important remaining natural areas in the county!

This workday will include removing woody invasives from the areas with seeps and springs.
