Restoration Workday at Crowley Oaks Woods
July 8, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Underneath all of the brush at Crowley oaks is a woodland worth saving! Aside from the beautiful old oaks and hickories there are subdued but ever present pockets of native plants persisting in the understory. Please join us as we continue to clear away invasive brush from around the flourishing sedge meadow at the heart of this woodland gem!
Volunteers assist with cutting, stacking and burning invasive brush to allow native trees and plants to grow!
Please bring a pair of work gloves if you have them and wear sturdy boots or shoes as well as old clothing (may get burn holes). Tools will be provided.
