Boloria Meadows Restoration Workday

Join this terrific trio (Kevin, Daniel and David) in clearing the new addition to the Illinois Nature Preserve! Boloria Meadows is over 40 acres of stunning prairie and oak savanna. This recently acquired area is primarily mature oak woods that is badly overgrown with invasive brush. Come on out and help restore this crown jewel of the area!
Directions: From the intersection of IL 31 and Bull Valley Rd. in McHenry, go west on Bull Valley Road 3.6 miles. Turn right (north) onto Ridge Rd. and go about .2 miles. There is a rustic cleared parking area on the east side of the road that you can park in. The space is only large enough to fit around 6 vehicles. If the space is full, there is room to park along the west side of Ridge Rd. in the grass across from the parking area. Use caution if parking along the road, it can be a semi-busy area.
