Community Research Forest Restoration Workday

Please join TLC in celebrating the life of the late Al Van Maren with a special restoration workday this weekend!
Al was an integral part of the restoration community and, in partnership with the Conservation District, helped preserve a continuous 93-acre stretch of oak woods – Community Research Forest.
Folks who knew and worked with Al talk about his good nature and passion for preserving natural spaces, so what better way to honor his memory than to come together for a memorial workday in the woodland he so dearly loved?
TLC’s David Ducci will be there to lead the workday, so he’ll have his chainsaw but there will be lots of large honeysuckle and buckthorn to clear, so additional sawyers are welcome to help out!
Directions: From highway 14, 4 miles south of Harvard or 7 miles north of Woodstock, head west on Lembcke Rd for 1.3 miles. Look for a grassy parking area to the right.
