Crowley Oaks Restoration Workday

Join our newest site steward, Larry, for another fun and productive workday at Crowley Oaks! Larry will be there to greet you and lead you back to the work area. The weather looks like it could be a little rainy but the temperature shouldn’t be too bad at all.
Directions: From the intersection of 173 and 14 in Harvard, head east on 173 and continue for 3.2 miles. Turn left (west) on Crowley Road, and continue for 0.2 miles. The site will be to the north, and you may park along the road. If you’ve got a rugged vehicle, feel free to drive back on the lane but stop at the end of the lane if ground conditions are moist.

Tips to make your workday experience safe/enjoyable:
Bring plenty of water – better to bring too much than too little!
Sturdy boots or old tennis shoes
Leather gloves or gardening gloves
Long sleeves/pants – prevent scrapes and scratches from branches
Certain bug sprays and tucking pants into socks helps guard against ticks
Hat – helps protect hair from embers
Sunglasses or eye protection
Feel free to bring loppers if you’ve got them
