Crowley Oaks Restoration Workday

Hopefully you enjoyed the cooler temps this past week because they are long gone! This day looks like it will be brutally hot so if you’re thinking about joining the gang for this workday be sure to bring lots of water.
Directions: From the intersection of 173 and 14 in Harvard, head east on 173 and continue for 3.2 miles. Turn left (west) on Crowley Road, and continue for 0.2 miles. The site will be to the north, and you may park along the road. If you’ve got a rugged vehicle, feel free to drive back on the lane.

Tips to make your workday experience safe/enjoyable:
Bring plenty of water – better to bring too much than too little!
Sturdy boots or old tennis shoes
Leather gloves or gardening gloves
Long sleeves/pants – prevent scrapes and scratches from branches
Certain bug sprays and tucking pants into socks helps guard against ticks
Hat – helps protect hair from embers
Sunglasses or eye protection
Feel free to bring loppers if you’ve got them
