Join Donato’s site steward David for a brush clearing extravaganza at one of Woodstock’s many natural areas! This is a special little spot in the heart of Woodstock, though few people know about its botanical treasures. Head in through the northwest entrance and follow the trail to the right over the wooden walkway. Keep going and listen for the sound of chainsaws.
Directions: from the square in downtown Woodstock, head south to South St. Turn right (west) and follow that for 0.5 miles. Turn left (south) onto Tara Dr. and Donato will be on your left. You can park along the road and come in at the north entrance. Follow the smoke and the sound of chainsaws.
Nearest address: 725 Tara Dr. Woodstock IL, 60098
