Final Friday Restoration Workday in Marengo

Come on out and lend a hand to help Stu and Tammy Sava work on their conservation easement! This almost 8 acre woodland/prairie/wetland is mostly restored habitats with a large stand of pines. We will be working on brushing our buckthorn and other undesirable trees. Tammy and Stu care very much for the plants and all other creatures and they know how to train sled dogs! Stu had back surgery and could use extra help around the easement.

Bring plenty of water – better to bring too much than too little!

Sturdy boots or old tennis shoes

Leather gloves or gardening gloves

Long sleeves/pants – prevent scrapes and scratches from branches

Hat – helps protect hair from embers

Sunglasses or eye protection

Layer up in cold weather

Feel free to bring loppers if you’ve got them
