Kishwaukee Fen Restoration Workday
June 12 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
As the growing season gets underway, now’s the time to strike at malignant weeds that threaten wetland biodiversity. Top of the list at Kish Fen are reed canary grass, purple loosestrife, and broadleaved cattails.
We’ll discuss various management techniques and determine the best fit for various parts of the preserve, based on ground conditions. B.Y.O.S. (Bring Your Own Scythe) if you have one!
No experience? No problem! Experienced volunteer leaders are excited to mentor, discuss, and learn together with those new to the site and/or eco-restoration.
RSVP to [email protected] if you would like to attend.
