Ryder’s Woods Restoration Workday

April 27 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Last year we focused on the west half of Ryder’s so this year we’ll be working mostly in the eastern areas. For Wednesday we’ve started clearing brush in the back SE corner across from Dick Tracy Park and the police station. Feel free to park along Dick Tracy rd. or to the east of the police station and walk on over from there.

Directions: From the intersection of 14 and 47, head north on 47, left on Dick Tracy Ave, and left on Kimball Ave. The park will be across from Dick Tracy Park.

Nearest Address: 561 Freemont St, Woodstock.

Tips to make your workday experience safe/enjoyable

Bring plenty of water – better to bring too much than too little!

Sturdy boots or old tennis shoes will do

Leather gloves or gardening gloves

Long sleeves/pants – prevent scrapes and scratches from branches

Hat – helps protect hair from embers

Sunglasses or eye protection

Feel free to bring loppers if you’ve got them!
