Meet TLC Members Robert and Amber Rossetti

How did you find out about TLC?
We found out about TLC through the native plant sale. We always liked spending time in local forest preserves. Several years ago, after buying our property, the landscaping was in a rough state. We began researching what plants we wanted to incorporate and discovered all the benefits of native gardening. Our interest, and appreciation, of native gardening grows every day!

Why did you decide to become a member of TLC?
We decided to become members of TLC after participating in the Conservation@Home program. Everyone at TLC was so kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. We saw what TLC does for our natural spaces and wanted to be a part of that community and support it.

What would you tell someone who’s thinking about joining TLC?
If you are thinking about joining TLC, I would say schedule a Conservation@Home visit and come to a native plant sale. It is a great way to start your native gardening journey and also get to see what TLC is all about.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?
TLC has a wealth of knowledge, and support, for your native gardening experience. We were new to native gardening when we first started with TLC. They have helped tremendously and have made it fun. They are always willing to answer questions and help when needed. We are excited to participate more in the organization, such as volunteering and visiting the various preserves.
