Support McHenry County Local Food Producers

If you eat, you’re part of the food system.  Here in McHenry County we have dozens of local farms growing actual food–fruits, vegetables, grains, meats–we’ve got it all!

From supporting local family farms by visiting their farm stores, or shopping at one of the many farmer’s markets in McHenry County, to purchasing locally grown foods at The Food Shed, a community-owned grocery store in Woodstock, or even participating in a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), there are a variety of different ways to eat local!

Our Local Foods Map (below) shines a spotlight on farms here in McHenry County- sharing farm locations, top selling products, and website links to make supporting local farmers convenient and easy to do. In the spirit of the Year of the Woman Farmer (2026), woman-owned or operated farms are designated with the red pins, purple pins denote farms with woman co-owners.

Interested in adding your own farm to the map? Use this form to send your information and get added to the map;  any food-producing farm in McHenry County is eligible to be included.  Or do you have a favorite local farm that’s not on the map?  Send an email to chodge@conservemc.org to help our Farm Program connect with your favorite farm.
