TLC’s August Learning Circle for Women Farmers and Farmland Owners

The event took place at Gold Fern Farm with owner-farmer Anna Guziak-Prochnicka. The 1-acre flower farm is situated on All Grass Farm’s farmland in Dundee.

Sarah Michehl of TLC spoke about growing and using native flowers for cut flowers.

Jeanne Janson of Ilinois FarmLink (they assist beginning farmers with land access) also spoke and shared resources.

They discussed the challenges and beauty of running a small farm business, as well as transitioning to growing from the heart in a way that supports your business as well as your soul and soil.

Guests got a tour Gold Fern Farm and attendees made their own bouquets to take home from the flower bar, and some attendees also opted to join the wagon tour of All Grass Farms following the main event.
