Published on
23 August 2024

Want to learn how to use a chainsaw but don’t know how to get started? Join The Land Conservancy’s ecologist, Megan Oropeza, to learn the basics of  safely using a chainsaw in a hands-on way. You will learn:

  • What protective equipment to use and wear
  • Basic chainsaw maintenance
  • Techniques for safely felling a tree and cutting it up

Participants are welcome to bring their own protective equipment such as leather gloves, safety glasses, earplugs and chaps, and we will have some for people to use during the class as well. This class is tailored to beginners who have never used a chainsaw. Please bring lunch and water.
