Boloria Meadows Restoration Workday

Located within the Boone Creek Watershed, 56.5-acre Boloria Meadows Nature Preserve is home to fen, sedge meadow, and wet prairie communities, as well as Oak/Hickory woodlands. Join Dennis this Saturday morning for a workday in the new addition to the Nature Preserve! The workday will focus on clearing brush in the woodland, on top of the hill, south of the stream near Ridge Road.

Directions: From the intersection of IL 31 and Bull Valley Rd. in McHenry, go west on Bull Valley Road 3.2 miles. Turn right (north) onto McAndrews Glen Dr. proceed for .3 miles until you reach Millburne Ct. Turn left and park on the road along the grass field across from the entrance to the preserve. If you are bringing chainsaws, or other equipment, you are invited to park in the cleared area off of Ridge Road, about 1/4 mile north of Bull Valley Rd. on the right (east) side of the road, if conditions permit.
