Connecting farmers and landowners is the reason why Common Ground Gathering was formed. Now in its fifth year, the event brings together people interested in producing healthy food that is grown in a way that’s healthy for the earth. Whether you are currently farming or dream of being a farmer, or you have some land that you’d like to lease to a farmer, this is the event for you.
Common Ground is a social gathering that gives farmers and landowners the opportunity to learn from and connect with each other. As always, there will be local beer and a variety of tasty local food. Included are the popular two-minute nutshell presentations by everyone who wants to briefly share their farming goals, ideas, wishes or news. Much of the event is an informal mix and mingle. There will be an optional tour of Soulful Prairies led by owner Linda Bruce beginning at 3:00 pm.
