Help TLC Collect Native Seed for Restoration!

You can help collect native seed to help restore TLC’s 1,000 acres of local prairies and woodlands throughout McHenry County! Join the fun with this hands-on outdoor activity. We will collect seeds from native plants, and the seed collected will eventually be spread and sowed to help local wildlife and pollinators! 

No experience necessary, we will help you learn the different plants we want to collect seed from. 

Bring gloves and water (and paper bags & hand snips if you have them!) Please wear closed-toe shoes with socks.

There will be seven organized events on Thursdays in September and October, weather permitting – come to one, or come to all!
