Seneca Marsh Restoration Workday

We’ll be restoring the area surrounding the pond as part of our project to restore habitat on Illinois Nature Preserves sites funded by the State through the NASA grant. There’s mostly buckthorn and honeysuckle that still needs to be removed.

Directions: From Woodstock, take South Street southwest out of town and over 14. After you cross 14, take the first right (north) into the Westwood subdivision. This part is a bit tricky! Turn left onto Moraine Drive, turn left onto Westwood Trail, continue left onto Westwood Trail, go past Hillside Trail and take the next left onto Seneca Ct. Then turn right at the T and you can park on the side of the road by the natural area.
